In August I had the opportunity to shoot with up and coming designers, Yena Kim and Jessica Oakes. I collaborated with them to give them the chance to have their senior lines shot for their look books. Think of a senior line as their thesis, it is the summation of the time and all they had learned while studying fashion at FIT in NYC, and they make some beautiful threads if I do say so myself.
We had 2 great models for the shoot, Brooke Banker and Lauren Way, they both did a fantastic job. Our make-up artist, Coley Webb, also did phenomenal, and her 5'2" self worked overtime making last second changes to Brooke's hair which was at least a foot and a half above her! Last but not least, my buddy Jon Lemon came by to assist me and to shred my seamless paper into pieces for me minutes before we started shooting, just to keep me on my toes.
Thanks again Jon ...
Below are some of the results, Enjoy!
All shots were made with a Nikon D3s and Nikkor 70-200 VRII
Key light was a Profoto D1 into a Photek Softlighter II, 46" Umbrella with Diffuser and the rim was another Profoto D1 into a 1'x4' strip.
